We want you to love your new replacement slings, so it's important to ensure accurate measurements before placing your order - because each sling is custom-made just for you, we’re unable to accept returns.

Quality Powder Coating is not responsible for incorrect measurements provided by the customer, so we encourage you to carefully follow our How to Measure Guide. Before measuring, please check that your existing sling is not stretched, sagging, or loose, and that all rails are securely attached to the frame. For the most accurate sizing, measure slings that are still properly installed on the furniture.

A few important notes before ordering:

  • Due to the nature of the fixed frame, we cannot make replacement slings for Brown Jordan Furniture. If you’re unsure if you have Brown Jordan Furniture, you can contact us for help.
  • Fixed/welded sling rails can make installation tricky. These frames require professional tools and techniques. Slings for these styles may not fit correctly, and attempting DIY installation can damage the slings or the furniture. Unfortunately, we cannot be held liable for any such damage.
  • Our slings are single-layered and do not come with padding or double layers.
  • We do not produce slings for pocket envelope styles, slings completely enclosed by rails, curved tops, or hourglass-shaped furniture.

Step 1:

Measure the length

  • Using a flexible tape measure, start at the top edge of the fabric and follow the contour of the chair down to the bottom edge.
  • Measure along the fabric's surface, not the frame, for the most accurate result.

Step 2:

Measure the top width

  • Find where the fabric meets the metal frame at the top of the chair.
  • Measure straight across from one side to the other, ensuring the tape measure stays flat.

Step 3:

Measure the bottom width

  • Repeat the same process at the bottom of the chair, measuring from one side to the other where the fabric meets the frame.

Replacing your patio sling is easier than you might think - and you don’t need to be a DIY pro to do it. With just a few basic tools and a little bit of time, you can give your outdoor furniture a fresh new look and extend its life. Follow the step-by-step guide below to safely remove your old sling and install the new one for a clean, professional finish. Step 1:

Remove the old sling

  • Safety First: Wear gloves to avoid injury from sharp metal edges or old fabric. 
  • Remove End Caps: Use a flathead screwdriver to carefully pry off the plastic end caps from both sides of the chair's sling rails.
  • Loosen the Frame: If your chair has spreader bars (metal bars between the rails), unscrew them with a Phillips screwdriver and set them aside.
  • Cut the Old Sling (if necessary): If the old sling is stuck, carefully cut it down the middle using a utility knife.
  • Slide Out the Old Fabric: Pull the old sling fabric out of the sling rails. If it's stuck, gently tap the rail with a rubber mallet to loosen the fabric

Step 2:

Prepare and install the new sling

  • Insert Sling Splines: Use your old sling splines and slide them into toe side seams of the fabric. If you need new sling splines, you can order them here. 
  • Align the Sling: Ensure the sling is facing the correct direction - smooth side out.
  • Slide Fabric into Rails: Starting at the top, carefully slide each side of the sling into the chair's sling rails.
  • Align Fabric: Pull the fabric evenly down both sides to avoid wrinkles or bunching.
  • Reassemble the Frame: If you removed spreader bars, reattach them now. This will help the sling stretch into place.

Step 3:

Tighten and secure

  • Tighten the Bolts: If your chair has adjustable side rails, tighten them to secure the sling.
  • Check for Wrinkles: Smooth out any remaining wrinkles by pulling the fabric taut.
  • Replace End Caps: Snap the plastic end caps back into place.
  • Inspect the Chair: Ensure the sling is taut and evenly aligned.
  • Clean Up: Wipe down the chair frame and enjoy your refreshed patio chair!
