How to measure

Tools needed:

Step 1:

Measure the back length

• Using a flexible tape measure, start at the top edge of the fabric and follow the contour of the chair down to the bottom edge.
• Measure along the fabric's surface, not the frame, for the most accurate result.

Step 2:

Measure the back top width

• Find where the fabric meets the metal frame at the top of the chair.
• Measure straight across from one side to the other, ensuring the tape measure stays flat.

Step 3:

Measure the back bottom width

• Repeat the same process at the bottom of the chair, measuring from one side to the other where the fabric meets the frame.

Step 4:

Measure the seat length

• Using a flexible tape measure, start at the back edge of the fabric and follow the contour of the chair down to the front edge.
• Measure along the fabric's surface, not the frame, for the most accurate result.

Step 5:

Measure the seat top width

• Find where the fabric meets the metal frame at the back of the seat.
• Measure straight across from one side to the other, ensuring the tape measure stays flat.

Step 6:

Measure the seat bottom width

• Repeat the same process at the seat front of the chair, measuring from one side to the other where the fabric meets the frame.

How to install

Tools needed:

Step 1:

Remove the old sling

• Safety First: Wear gloves to avoid injury from sharp metal edges or old fabric. 
• Remove End Caps: Use a flathead screwdriver to carefully pry off the plastic end caps from both sides of the chair's sling rails.
• Loosen the Frame: If your chair has spreader bars (metal bars between the rails), unscrew them with a Phillips screwdriver and set them aside.
• Cut the Old Sling (if necessary): If the old sling is stuck, carefully cut it down the middle using a utility knife.
• Slide Out the Old Fabric: Pull the old sling fabric out of the sling rails. If it's stuck, gently tap the rail with a rubber mallet to loosen the fabric

Step 2:

Prepare and install the new sling

• Insert Sling Splines: Use your old sling splines and slide them into toe side seams of the fabric. If you need new sling splines, you can order them here. 
• Align the Sling: Ensure the sling is facing the correct direction - smooth side out.
  
• Slide Fabric into Rails: Starting at the top, carefully slide each side of the sling into the chair's sling rails.
• Align Fabric: Pull the fabric evenly down both sides to avoid wrinkles or bunching.
• Reassemble the Frame: If you removed spreader bars, reattach them now. This will help the sling stretch into place.

Step 3:

Tighten and secure

• Tighten the Bolts: If your chair has adjustable side rails, tighten them to secure the sling.
  
• Check for Wrinkles: Smooth out any remaining wrinkles by pulling the fabric taut.
• Replace End Caps: Snap the plastic end caps back into place.
• Inspect the Chair: Ensure the sling is taut and evenly aligned.
  
• Clean Up: Wipe down the chair frame and enjoy your refreshed patio chair!
